About the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra
Founded in 1999 as the Riverton Metropolitan Orchestra, the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra is a volunteer regional orchestra serving rural and suburban communities throughout Utah. UPO’s mission is to unite communities, bring live classical music to communities who may otherwise not have the opportunity, and especially to cultivate and instill imagination and wonder in the hearts and minds of the next generation.
